25-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash Near Alton Identified

NEAR ALTON – The identity of a woman killed in a three car accident Wednesday night was released.
Twenty-five-year-old Zarira Munoz Sanchez was a passenger in one of the vehicles.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. on FM-2221 between La Homa Road and Bentsen Palm Drive.
Department of Public Safety Lt. Johnny Hernandez said preliminary reports show a black Impala was hit from behind by a car.
The impact sent the Impala into the oncoming lane where it was hit by an SUV.
Munoz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five others were hospitalized. No word on their conditions.
