Authorities Responding to Helicopter Hard Landing Incident

PROGRESO – Department of Public Safety are on the scene of what appears to be a involving a crop duster helicopter in Progreso.

It happened near FM 1015 and Military Highway 281.

DPS troopers and the Progreso Fire Department responded to the scene.

DPS says the helicopter struck powerlines causing more than 1,500 residents in the area to be without power.

We're told the pilot was not injured.
