Brownsville Man Rescued by Border Agent Discusses Scenario

BROWNSVILLE – A Brownsville man looking for a Border Patrol agent who he says saved his life.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS reported about Rusty Monsees on Tuesday.

John Morris, division chief of operations with Border Patrol, says the agent who came to Monsees’ rescue went above the call of duty – he believes other agents would do the same.

Monsees says he sleeps in his truck because of medical complications make it difficult to move around.

On Monday around 3 a.m., those complications forced him to get out his truck, causing him to hurt his leg and yell for help.
