CBP: Baby in Critical Condition at Corpus Christi Hospital after being Detained near Roma

NEAR ROMA- Officials with U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed a six-month-old baby is in critical condition.
She and her father were part of a group caught crossing the border illegally, near the Roma port of entry early Thursday morning.
While they were being processed, agents determined the girl needed medical attention and took her to an Edinburg hospital.
From there, she was flown by helicopter to a children's hospital in Corpus Christi.
Officials say the father was driven to the hospital, so he could be with her as she receives care.
