CBP Seizes More Than $3M Worth of Alleged Meth within 4-Day Span

DONNA – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than $3 million worth of alleged methamphetamine within four days.

The first incident occurred Saturday at the Donna International Crossing.

A 40-year-old female Mexican citizen was referred for a secondary inspection, which led to the discovery of 38 packages of alleged methamphetamine.

The second incident occurred Tuesday when a 22-year-old male U.S. citizen, along with his 18-year-old brother, was referred for secondary inspection.

Officers found 39 packages of alleged methamphetamine in the vehicle.

The drivers and passengers from both incidents were arrested and turned over to the custody of Homeland Security Investigations.
