City of Edinburg Getting Areas Up to Code to Act on Residents Concerns

EDINBURG – The city of Edinburg is getting some areas throughout the city up to code.

The city has been going door-to-door to pass out flyers telling residents to avoid certain code violations.

Piles of tree branches, trash cluttering empty lots and over-grown grass are just a few that are considered code violations.   

KRGV’s John Paul Barajas spoke with a resident who has lived in his neighborhood for 18 years.

He says the city isn’t doing anything about the illegal dumping issues.

Edinburg’s solid waste director says a lot of work has been done at the Primarosa Estates and more is to come.
