DPS Troopers Now Carrying Narcan Kits

WESLACO – Department of Public Safety troopers have a new life-saving tool in the form of a drug.
As of Thursday, every trooper is carrying a narcan kit.
Narcan is used to block the effects of opioids and reverse overdose symptoms.
We’re told a trooper came across a man on the side of the road who was overdosed; the kit ended up saving his life.
