Edcouch Fire Ruled Suspicious

UPDATE (8/24): The cause of the Edcouch fire that damaged three homes is now ruled suspicious.
All three homes are a total loss.
Hidalgo County Fire Marshal Investigators believe flames first at the home in the middle. It is ruled suspicious because there was no running electricity in that home.
Witnesses and neighbors have been interviewed but there are still no suspects.

EDCOUCH – At least one family in Edcouch is displaced after a fire consumed their home.
Multiple agencies are responding to the blaze that damaged at least three structures located off of W Mile 3 Road.
The home where the fire originated was destroyed, but the blaze quickly spread to two neighboring houses.
The extent of damages to those houses is unknown.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
