Firefighters Describe Scene of Fatal Fire in Mission

MISSION – A house fire that killed three people in Mission is currently under investigation.
The Alton Fire Department responded to the scene Sunday and pulled out several people from the home.
KRGV’s Cecilia Gutierrez spoke with the first responders who battled the blaze and described the scene as chaotic.
A lieutenant at the Alton Fire Department tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS that the structure of the house made it difficult to combat the fire.
A Hidalgo County Fire investigator also explained the home was made of cinder block and didn't have any smoke detectors installed.
