Former Roma ISD Employee Sentenced to 7 Years for Possession of Child Porn

RIO GRANDE CITY – A seven year prison sentence was handed down for a former Roma Independent School District employee.
Jesus Amado Garcia plead guilty to possessing child porn back in October. He learned his punishment Tuesday.
In addition to prison time, Garcia must pay $40,000 in restitution and register as a sex offender after his release from prison.
Authorities say he was employed as a maintenance worker for Roma ISD at the time of his arrest.
