H-E-B Truck Driver Honored for Reaching Milestone

WESLACO – The Texas Department of Public Safety troopers joined H-E-B in surprising one of the company’s drivers.
Jose Luis Jaramillo reached 3 million consecutive miles of driving safely without an incident. He’s one of only 10 H-E-B drivers who reached this milestone.
Troopers stopped him in Alamo. Jaramillo didn’t know it was part of a surprise congratulating him on his achievement. The troopers escorted him to his destination in Weslaco.
Jaramillo is the second Weslaco driver to reach the 3 million mile milestone. He started working for the company in 1990.
He’s won several honors, including first place in a food industry national competition.
