SOUTH PADRE ISLAND- Several law enforcement agencies are stepping up patrols for Memorial Day weekend.

Texas Game Wardens are stressing safety as the summer months are quickly approaching.

They're checking for fire extinguishers, sound producing devices and life jackets.
