Mission Man Sentenced for Killing 2 during Smuggling Attempt

MCALLEN – A Mission man is sentenced in a human smuggling case.

Two migrants died in a crash near Mission in Nov. 2015.

Investigators say 26-year-old Osvaldo Gonzalez served as a lookout in the smuggling run.

He was sentenced to 22 years in prison.

Gonzalez awaits sentencing in another immigrant-related case.
