Presidential Candidate's Summer Home in Mission Now Open to Public

MISSION – Three-time presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan once had a summer home in Mission and it is now full restored and open to the public.
His home in Lincoln, Nebraska is a museum listed as a national historic landmark.
"He ran for president three times. He was Secretary of State under Woodrow Wilson. He was a colonel in the Spanish-American war. He was the inspiration for the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz," explains owner Ariel Powell King.
King and her husband restored the home and turned it into a bed and breakfast – it is also an event center used for weddings farmer’s market, family reunions and historic tours.
