WESLACO – Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency are looking into flood damage on public property in the Rio Grande Valley.

Valley counties that are looking for funding will have to reach a certain threshold.

“We sustained damage in the county, and we're trying to make sure that that is compensated through other means, as well as our own," says Cameron County Emergency Management Coordinator Tom Hushen.

Eleven counties in South Texas reported flood damage, including Cameron, Willacy, Starr, Hidalgo and Brooks counties.
