Recycled Christma Trees to Fortify Sand Dunes on South Padre Island

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - Residents who haven't gotten rid of their Christmas trees yet, may want to think about recycling them.

Several valley cities are turning the trees into mulch, which will be used to fortify sand dunes on South Padre Island.

CHANNEL 5's Cecilia Gutierrez spoke to visitors who've noticed a difference in the dunes since the holidays.
