State of Texas Ranks 3rd in Nation for Canceled Immigration Court Dates

WESLACO – The state of Texas ranks third in the country for the number of canceled immigration court dates due to the partial government shutdown.

People who come before an immigration judge are either currently in detention or out in the community.

They are grouped into either detained or non-detained dockets.

According to Syracuse University’s TRAC Program, the non-detained docket is the one currently affected.
