Suspect in critical condition after shot by Harlingen officer

HARLINGEN – The suspect in an officer-involved shooting is now in critical condition.
Authorities say the officer shot him while responding to an alarm at a building. They added the suspect moved toward the officer with a metal rod, ignoring commands to drop it.
Texas Rangers are investigating.
