Valley Border Wall Construction at Standstill

MISSION – Construction for one section of the border wall is at a standstill.
The state property at Bentsen State Park sits right next to the tract where the border wall construction began about two weeks ago.
This tract is called Parida Banco Tract and is located in the Mission area.
Visitors at the park have mixed reactions to the border wall.
The 150-foot enforcement zone on the south side of the wall would be turned into a patrol road.
KRGV’s Christian von Preysing reached out to U.S. Customs and Border Protection about the status of this construction and is waiting to hear back.
