WESLACO – Investigators are working to identify the five people who died as a result of an apartment fire.
Two Rio Grande Valley natives are among those who survived and now need to relocate.
KRGV’s Sierra Pizarro spoke with the couple who took a risk in order to survive the fire.
“I ran in and started screaming at her to get up so we could get ready to jump out the window,” says Valley native Benjamin Munoz.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
