EDINBURG – A local school district is planning to run its own elections.
The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District school board voted to purchase voting machines to make the transition.
A big push to attain voting machines was the long-term financial benefit and to avoid fraud. School officials added they will hire judges and officials for the elections.
But not everyone agrees with the decision.
