Valley Wildlife Refuge Celebrates 75 Years of Conservation

ALAMO – It’s described as being the first national wildlife refuge in the Rio Grande Valley.

Last month, the Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge celebrated its 75^th anniversary.

The refuge has evolved. Each year thousands visit to walk the trials, ride bikes and growing in popularity are the kayaks.
