3rd Person Charged in Weslaco Attempted Robbery Turned Fatal Shooting

WESLACO – Another man was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the attempted robbery turned fatal shooting in Weslaco.

Mercedes resident Juan Jesus Hernandez, 21, was charged with murder. He was not part of the initial press release from authorities on the crime.

A group of men entered a home to allegedly steal drugs and money Monday evening near Saltillo Circle and Durango Drive.

The home resident disarmed and fatally shot one of the intruders.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for another man who is suspected of organizing the robbery.

Isidro Rubiel Juarez is facing a first degree murder charge. He is considered armed and dangerous.
