EDINBURG – A man is charged with intoxication manslaughter and three counts of intoxication assault.

Twenty-nine-year-old Mexican national Ruben Hernandez is accused in the death of a 2-year-old.

Hernandez was allegedly behind the wheel when he crashed head on into a family in a SUV on Monte Cristo Road back in June.

The accident killed the toddler. The rest of the family was rushed to the hospital.

Hernandez is due back in court in October.
