Technical Director/Master Control Operator
Qualifications: Experience as a technical director and master control operator. Sony DVS 8000 switcher experience is a plus. Applicant should have strong creative background in shooting, directing, and editing. Applicant should have strong working knowledge of lighting and sound with EFP equipment and experience in non-linear editing. Must possess the ability to work and communicate well under pressure. Position reports to the News Director.
Duties: Responsibilities will include technical directing a variety of newscasts. Work closely with News Producers and AP's. Technical Directing, master control operations, pre and post-production editing and studio camera work. Performs other reasonable related duties as may be assigned by managers.
Part time Studio Camera Operator
Skills & Duties Desired: Will work with studio cameras and non-linear editing systems, keep the studio equipment working properly, prepare microphones for anchors, change lamps for the light fixtures, and other duties as assigned. Experience with non-linear editing systems and videotape production and editing of news stories. . The ability to work a variety of shifts is necessary.Some camera experience helpful. This person must be highly dependable, be able to follow directions precisely and the ability to work a variety of shifts is necessary.
POSITION: News Producer
KRGV Channel 5 is looking for an aggressive, creative and smart News Producer. You must have a great "can do" attitude and not be afraid to leave your comfort zone. You must be highly-organized, a leader in production technique and showcasing skills, driven and able to cover Breaking News. Must be willing to think differently than most newscast producers and try new things. The job is in the Harlingen-McAllen-Brownsville market in South Texas at the ABC Affiliate.
Responsibilities: Cover all aspects of the broadcast: news writing, editorial judgment, guest booking and coordination of live shots.
Requirements: Prefer at least one year experience in a television station. Candidate must be reliable and have good people skills.

KRGV-TV CHANNEL 5 is seeking a McAllen Area Account Executive to service existing clients and develop new accounts. This dynamic individual will be responsible for all aspects of servicing clients of Channel 5 including business development, overseeing production of commercials, commercial scheduling, billing, and collections. A minimum of three years of television and internet sales experience is required.
Full Time News Video Photographer
The primary duty of this job is to gather ENG video in the field, working with reporters and the assignments desk. Experience in all aspects of television news photography, electronic editing equipment, and live microwave trucks. Must have a valid driver's license.
