Chief Engineer
KRGV is seeking an experienced television engineering management professional to join its staff as Chief Engineer. The successful candidate will need to be a hands-on leader possessing strong skills in all areas of digital broadcast maintenance, including transmitter operations, news/studio/master control functions, Internet/mobile platforms, and stations infrastructure. The Chief Engineer is responsible for hiring, training, evaluating engineering and operations personnel as well as creating and maintaining technical operating, and capital budgets. Part-time Associate News Producer
Qualifications & Duties: Candidate must have excellent writing skills and work ethic. Duties cover all aspects of the broadcast: news writing, editorial judgment, guest booking and coordination of live shots. Must have had two years of college courses in communication or related field. Candidate must be reliable and have good people skills as well as work any shift...including nights, weekends or overnight. Will assist News Producer.
News Video Photographer
The primary duty of this job is to gather ENG video in the field, working with reporters and
the assignments desk. Experience in all aspects of television news photography, electronic
editing equipment, and live microwave trucks. Must have a valid driver's license.
News Anchor/Reporter
Applicants should have significant experience in general assignment reporting, including Live ENG and satellite work. You must be able to develop your own contacts, enterprise good news stories, and respond well to breaking and spot news. Responsibilities include reading news clearly with proper emotion and inflection, understanding and implementing the news philosophy, making promotions and public service announcements, making public appearances, being involved in the community, being a leader and encouraging co-workers..
Outstanding writing skills are required as well as the ability to make good use of graphics and production equipment. Qualifications include a college degree in broadcast journalism or equivalent, at least one to two years' experience anchoring a newscast, able to handle crisis situations and intense deadline pressure.
