La Grulla water system under boil water notice due to low pressure

La Grulla, TX (KRGV) — A water boil notice has been issued for the city of La Grulla.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the city's public water system to notify all customers to boil their water before drinking it due to low pressure.
To make sure harmful bacteria are destroyed, water should be brought to a vigorous boil and then boiled for two minutes.
Customers who don't want to boil water can buy bottled water or get water from another source for drinking or other consumption purposes.
Officials will notify customers when the water is safe to drink and the boil water notice is no longer in effect.
