Heart of the Valley
Heart of the Valley is a KRGV initiative that focuses on a two week period, to go in-depth to illuminate one critical issue, need or cause in order to help make a positive change. From investigative news reports, to working hand in hand with local charities, to public service announcements that deliver important messages; we come together to unite the Valley towards real progress in the lives of the people who live here.
Heart of the Valley: Diabetes

From March 25, 2019 to April 8, 2019, KRGV’s Heart of the Valley will address the issue of diabetes and obesity.
Over the two week period KRGV will air news stories and produce and air 30 minute programs shining a light on the problem.
All news stories about diabetes will be translated into Spanish and available on the Somos Noticias page, deliver critical information to this under-served segment of the community.
