CORPUS CHRISTI - The U.S. Coast Guard said they stopped three Mexican fishermen from illegally fishing in federal waters off the south Texas coast Saturday morning.

Crews found the fishermen in a lancha, a Mexican fishing boat.The Coast Guard seized more than 500 pounds of red snapper and illegal fishing gear. The fishermen were detained and taken to border enforcement agents.
