PALMVIEW - A trooper attempted to stop the driver of a Brown Buick Enclave occupied by four, including the driver at approximately 8:23 a.m.  Wednesday.

The driver was stopped for a traffic violation on El Farro Road and U.S. 83.  When they failed to yield and evaded law enforcement. 

The Buick came to a stop at the northeast corner of U.S. 83 Frontage Road east of Abram Road after it struck a utility pole. 

The driver of the Buick and one female passenger were apprehended. 

Two male occupants fled on foot and were shortly apprehended with the assistance of DPS aircraft. 

All three occupants, one female and two males, have been released to U.S. Border Patrol. 

Eduardo Damian Mendoza, 28, a resident of Alton has been arrested for evading arrest with a moto vehicle and human smuggling. 

Mendoza has been transported to the Hidalgo County Jail where he will be booked pending arraignment.
