A Brownsville man is facing multiple charges after investigators seized more than 1,400 THC vape pens and other drugs from a home, according to the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.

Leonardo Villegas was arrested inside the home on four outstanding warrants.

The Cameron County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit executed an arrest warrant and a narcotics search warrant at a home on the 2200 block of El Cauce Street in Brownsville on Aug. 7, after receiving information that it was being used to store and distribute illegal drugs.

Investigators seized approximately 1,470 THC vape pens packaged in bulk, multiple bags of THC-infused gummies, several pre-rolled cigarettes and a jar containing high-grade marijuana, weighing approximately 39.80 ounces. They also found $6,221 in cash.

Investigators estimated the total street value of the seized drugs at approximately $88,000.

Villegas faces charges of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance involving approximately 2,940 grams of THC, possession of marijuana and two additional outstanding warrants for marijuana possession.

He also faces an outstanding warrant for evading arrest with a vehicle and an outstanding warrant for manufacturing and delivering.
