BROWNSVILLE – Sunday marks 15 years since the murders of three Brownsville children.

On Friday, the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office worked at the site where they were killed. They planted rosemary and ivy plants as well as fruits and vegetables at the Tres Angeles Park.

In 2016, the building where the murders took place was knocked down and replaced with the park.

Cameron County District Attorney Luis Saenz says as tough as it is to forget about the horrific crime, introducing new life at the site is a way to move forward and positively remember the lives of the three children.

The park is located on the corner of East Tyler and 8th Street.
