Pharr, TX (KRGV) — Pharr is getting ready to host Avocado Fest, a festival celebrating the Rio Grande Valley's love for avocados and produce.

City of Pharr Assistant Director of Communications Lya Yllades spoke with Channel 5 News' Dina Herrera Garza about all the activities, vendors and musical guests the festival will have.

The event is scheduled for Oct. 10 in downtown Pharr. The fun starts at 2 p.m.
