La Joya ISD Adding Remote Security Gates to Campuses
LA JOYA - One Rio Grande Valley school district is doing more to protect students and staff while at their campus.
La Joya ISD is adding remote security gates along all campus parking lots.
Chief Raul Gonzalez says this will help the district maintain accountability of who's coming into their schools.
"We're going to install remote gates so that people don't have access into areas that they're not authorized to come in to," says Gonzalez.
He adds the district is always looking for ways to strengthen the security of the students and staff on all 43 campuses.
