Man Released from Hospital After Driving Vehicle into Canal
UPDATE (4/9): The driver involved an incident where a vehicle ran into a canal is not out of the hospital.
Investigators are still trying to figure out how the driver ended up in there.
MCALLEN – A man continues to recover in the hospital after driving his vehicle into a canal.
McAllen police tell CHANNEL 5 NEWS the incident happened Saturday night near Bentsen Road and Mile 5.
They say the driver was able to make it out of the vehicle.
He reported the incident Sunday morning.
McAllen police and fire, along with the Mission Dive Team were able to recover the car from the canal.
The incident remains under investigation.
