Regional Alert Issued after 1-Year-Old Abducted in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE – A regional alert was issued by the RGV Regional Alert System for a 1-year-old baby girl. 

Authorities are asking the public to help find Paris Gomez. She was taken Tuesday.

The toddler was last seen wearing a striped top and blue jeans.

Police believe the baby is with her mother, Francia Joseline Villegas-Amaro. The 21-year-old, whose daughter was removed from her custody due to a previous arrest, was last seen in a light pink top, pink shorts and is also known to wear glasses. 

According to a Brownsville police press release, Villegas removed a court-ordered ankle monitor and was last seen walking toward the Gateway International Bridge. 

The pair was last seen in Brownsville.
