BOCA CHICA – Residents near SpaceX’s Launchpad want to be prepared when the prototype ship launches.

The SpaceX launch is set to happen within the next few weeks.

Terry and Bonnie Heaton say they haven’t gotten word on what they need to do to prepare for a possible test launch.

They say SpaceX officials mentioned possible relocation accommodations for locals a few years ago in a community meeting.

The couple says there hasn't been communication lately.

"Our biggest concern is being able to stay here and whether or not that's going to happen,” says Terry Heaton.
