The San Benito Consolidated Independent School District announced a limited remote learning program for elementary school students on Wednesday.

Officials said the program comes in response to Senate Bill 15, signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott on Sept. 9, that allows local educational agencies to receive funding for remote learning.

Parents with elementary school students can apply for the remote learning program starting on Wednesday, Jan. 5, and through Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 4:00 p.m.

To apply, parents and guardians must complete and return the Remote Learning Program Registration Form to their respective campuses.

According to district officials, applying for the remote learning program does not guarantee enrollment.
