TxDOT Continues to Clear Out Major Flooding on US 281
NEAR LINN-SAN MANUEL – Texas Department of Transportation crews continue to clear floodwaters on Highway 281.
About six inches of rain fell in the Linn-San Manuel area for four hours this past weekend.
TxDOT says drivers were diverted into the northbound side for a bidirectional traffic flow.
For now, they’ve placed water-filled barriers and are working to pump out excess water.
There is still water on the road on the southbound lanes of US 281. Levels are higher on the other side of the water-filled dam. pic.twitter.com/RFb4X5Yuxh

We have dug hundreds of yards of trenches to allow the water to find somewhere else to go. #US281Flooding pic.twitter.com/EQMccaDziO
