HARLINGEN – A groundbreaking was held Wednesday in Harlingen for a brand new neuroscience institute.

It’ll be part of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley medical program.

The plan is to have it up and running at the beginning of 2021.

The dean of the school of medicine says the facility will give students a place to focus on learning more about strokes, aging and depression.
