Valley Woman Charged for Leaving Child in Hot Car
MCALLEN – A Rio Grande Valley woman is now charged with endangering a child.
Police say the mother left her 1-year-old boy in a hot car.
It happened around 4 p.m. Monday on the 3200 block of North 10th Street in McAllen.
A 9-1-1 caller alerted authorities to the child.
Rosa Isella Garza, 38, was arraigned Tuesday morning.
The judge set her bond to $1,500.
It’s not known how long the baby was in the car, but police say he is in good condition.
