MCALLEN – A Rio Grande Valley woman is now charged with endangering a child.

Police say the mother left her 1-year-old boy in a hot car.

It happened around 4 p.m. Monday on the 3200 block of North 10th Street in McAllen.

A 9-1-1 caller alerted authorities to the child.

Rosa Isella Garza, 38, was arraigned Tuesday morning.

The judge set her bond to $1,500.

It’s not known how long the baby was in the car, but police say he is in good condition.
