WESLACO – Three law enforcement agencies are currently reviewing recordings leaked from the San Benito Police Department.

The federal, district and state level agencies are reportedly set to meet and discuss the incident.

In May, the San Benito Police Department was investigating how hundreds of audio files stored on the department’s computer server were allegedly copied and taken.

At the time, San Benito City Manager Manuel De La Rosa issued a statement saying San Benito Police Chief Michael Galvan had made him aware of the issue two months prior.

Galvan was officially named police chief last September after serving as the interim chief for months.
