MCALLEN – Another week, another bunch of Valley basketball tournaments.

The City of Palms Classic opened Thursday with 16 teams on the bracket. CHANNEL 5 cameras were rolling as Los Fresnos toppled Mercedes  70-49. Evening action saw host Rowe outpoint Nuevo Leon 78-34.

A few miles away, the Tri-City Tournament tipped off at PSJA North and PSJA Memorial.
