Arraignment Set for Man Accused of Shooting Trooper Moises Sanchez
UPDATE: Victor Godinez's arraignment has been set for Oct. 7 at 9:00 a.m.

EDINBURG – The man arrested in connection with the shooting and death of DPS Trooper Moises Sanchez is expected to go before a judge Wednesday.
Victor Godinez, 24, will be officially arraigned on upgraded charges.
Godinez is still jailed and has been there since the April 6 incident.
The new two-count indictment against Godinez accuses him of shooting and killing Trooper Sanchez, and shooting at Edinburg police officer Sandra Tapia.
Godinez will be arraigned Wednesday morning.
Godinez remains jailed on $3 million bond this morning.
A pre-trial hearing was initially set for Oct. 24 in the case for his old charges.
