The McAllen International Airport is receiving a $2 million grant for upgrades.

The grant is part of a $1.1 billion investment from Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy for upgrades to airports across the country.

McAllen International Airport will use its $2 million grant for a terminal expansion. The project includes upgrades to baggage claim, restrooms, nursing stations and ticketing counters.

The Federal Aviation Administration is delivering 280 grants to airports in 46 states and three territories through the Airport Improvement Program.
