DPS Confirms Body of Missing Rio Grande City Teen Found
ROMA – The Department of Public Safety has confirmed that the body of 17-year-old Chayse Olivarez has been found.
The Texas Rangers are investigating an area north of Roma in connection to the disappearance of the teen.
DPS Lt. Johnny Hernandez told CHANNEL 5 NEWS they are looking into a scene at the 800 block of Hummingbird Street.
Chayse Olivarez, of Rio Grande City, was last seen nearly two weeks ago.
The 17-year-old was supposed to go to Basilio Villarreal Municipal Park, but he never showed up.
The family of Olivarez is offering a $15,000 reward for any information that would lead to his whereabouts.
