Federal Officials Investigating Sea Turtle Deaths near South Padre Island
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND- A federal investigation is underway into the deaths of sea turtles near South Padre Island.
On a Facebook post, Texas Game Wardens said they received several calls of people catching, killing and filleting sea turtles.
After a vehicle search, shells were found.
Wardens headed up to the beach to track down the others responsible.
Agents with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration were notified.
