Five men were arrested on prostitution charges as part of a week-long law enforcement initiative, according to the McAllen Police Department.

The men were arrested on solicitation of prostitution charges between Aug. 26 and Sept. 2.

The men were identified as:

• Jonathan Cortina, 21, of McAllen
• Julio Cesar Deleon, 44, of Mission
• Jose Aldo Galvan, 25, of Pharr
• Ramiro De La Cruz, 53, of Harlingen
• Joshua Somar Ramos, 23, of Mission

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may follow, police added.
