BROWNSVILLE – An 18-year-old facing federal charges connected to social media threats was indicted.

Joel Hayden Schrimsher was indicted on six different counts Tuesday.

He was arrested in June after he made violent threats targeting mosques and synagogues.

The FBI worked along Harlingen investigators and the Cameron County District Attorney's Office to search his home.

Schrimsher is expected to make an appearance in court later this week.
