HHS website helping Valley parents research child daycare centers
WESLACO – If your child goes to daycare here in Texas, peace of mind may be just a click away.
An upgrade to a statewide safety check system lets you know how well a daycare is meeting state health and safety standards.
According to Health and Human Services, the website now lists the last five years of a regulated child care facility's history, showing their compliance with state laws.
You can look up the track record of your current center or research a new one at the Texas Health and Human Service Database.
If you have any questions about the regulation of your day care facility you can also call your county Health and Human Services Department for more information.
