The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man who was accidentally electrocuted in Mission.

According to a news release, deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive male in the 3800 block of Mirabel Street at around 12:29 p.m. on Aug. 1.

Upon arrival at the rural Mission property, deputies found 65-year-old Eudoxio Marquez. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be accidental electrocution.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
